We received an invitation to a great and important celebration. There will be no more significant moment in the entire universe, when 24 crowned and rewarded elders will stand before the Lamb of God, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Unlike any form of earthly authority, there is something that has struck me and has been a thought of life ever since.
Revelation 4:10 "...They cast their crowns before the throne..."
Faced with this profound vision, despair arose in my heart that I would not like to present myself empty-handed before the One who did everything for me. Who out of Love gave Himself on the cross for my sins, who was not ashamed of my weaknesses and never abandoned me.
Exodus 34:20 "...Let no one come before me empty-handed!"
However, in the face of this, the need to bear fruit and the inability to face such a challenge arise.
How can we stop living a fruitless life in the gospel and start living for the cause of saving the souls for which our Lord died?
Would it be too much for every Christian on the face of the earth to commit to winning at least 1,000 souls, not today, not one day next week, but throughout his or her entire life?
Is there anything more important than this ordinance?
Mark 16:15 And he commanded them: “... preach the gospel to every creature..."
If we were offered a new job, with a salary 10 times higher than our current one, for one of the greatest authorities in our nation, wouldn't we leave any other activity to take it on?
However, we have the Highest Authority calling us to work in His Name and yet we have been fruitless and scarce.
Thus arises the project 1000 Lives for Christ, which proposes to bring you material for edification and spiritual growth, in order to awaken us to also engage in the Lord's Harvest.
Matthew 20:6 "When he went out again about five in the afternoon, he found others unemployed, and he asked them, 'Why have you been standing here idle all day?'"
Luke 10:2 "And he said to them, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few..."
Even so If you are not convinced of your role in the face of such a great call, after all, there are many churches where I live.
Jude 1:22 "And show mercy to some who are not so assured, 23 and save others, snatching them out of the fire;..."
Do not harden your hearts. But fear before God and place yourself at the Lord's disposal.
Grace and Peace.
